Draughtsman

Job Title: Design Drafter
Department: Engineering / Design
Reports To: Engineering Manager

My client, an oil and gas company based in Aberdeen, is looking for a Draughtsman to join their team.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

• Comply with company QHSE policies.
• Develop detailed drawings under supervision.
• Produce accurate drawings per specifications and standards.
• Create technical drafts and marketing illustrations (TM drawings).
• Prepare quality documents like Engineering Check Sheets, Final Inspection Sheets, and Design Plans.
• Use SolidWorks to create manufacturing and assembly drawings, including Excel BOM.
• Conduct mechanical calculations.
• Experience with downhole tools is preferred (completions/interventions).
• Strong teamwork and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); MS Project is an advantage.

Accountabilities:

• Maintain and communicate design changes.
• Verify drawing accuracy before assembly and testing.

Minimum Requirements:

• HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a similar role.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CADWORKS.
• Knowledge of API manufacturing principles and completion equipment design.
