Product Description:
As a test analyst, you will be given the opportunity to work closely with a variety of clients on projects that make a tangible difference. IO Associates are collaborating with a specialised SME in the Defence sector, renowned for its expertise in IT Systems Integration. This SME excels in designing, building, and managing bespoke, highly complex, mission-critical systems that safeguard their clients. They lead in innovation by utilising both established and cutting-edge technologies, agile methodologies, and extensive knowledge across space, defence, intelligence, aerospace, and maritime fields, all supported by strong cyber capabilities. Their collaborative model includes working with global tech firms, innovative SMEs, and academic institutions to provide the best solutions for each client.
Please be aware that, due to the sensitive nature of the programme, you must have or be eligible for the highest level of UK Security Clearance (DV). The position requires full-time attendance at our Basingstoke office, five days a week.


Your future and responsibilities:

As a Test Analyst, you will engage with various Agile development teams to design, create, and run tests using the best available tools. Partnering with a defence-focused SME, you will apply your enthusiasm for testing and your comprehensive knowledge of contemporary software and application development. This position demands excellent teamwork and communication abilities, as you will work alongside Infrastructure, Development, and Project Management teams to achieve top-quality results.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing manual tests and using the approved project tools.
  • Interpreting test results and carrying out initial investigations into any issues.
  • Reporting defects and monitoring their resolution.
  • Attending Agile team meetings and events.


Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a testing role
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools
  • Skilled in designing and creating both automated and manual tests
  • Experience with test management tools, such as ALM or Testrail
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification
  • Knowledge of SAFe and Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem investigation skills
  • Proficiency in analysis
