Electronics Engineer - Technical Support

Permanent - upto £41,000 + benefits

West Sussex

iO Associates are working in partnership with a prestigious engineering business whom specialist in the design and development of abatement systems used within the semi-conductor industry.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate production, inter-site, and field return issues, and generate 8D reports as needed.
  • Implement Copy Exact changes to prevent customer non-conformities or E-Part manufacturing disruptions.
  • Smoothly hand over current information and highlight H&S issues to the escalations team.
  • Perform compliance testing to EN Standards (e.g., EMC, Electrical Safety) for new and existing products.
  • Resolve product inquiries from Customers, Sales, and Service Teams, escalating to Technical specialists when necessary.
  • Build prototype test and measurement equipment as needed.

Required

  • Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent; HNC/HND also considered.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of digital and analogue circuits, from small signal to power electronics.
  • Solid understanding of circuit diagrams, with the ability to identify and understand analogue and digital components; some design experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in fault-finding at the component level, determining root causes of failures, and proposing circuit design changes if needed.
  • Experience in producing detailed reports, including 8D reports, to communicate findings to customers or the technology team.

In return for your support, we are offering a basic salary of up to £41,000 (dependant on experience), plus benefits inclusive of pension, bonus, healthcare and much more!
