IT Security Consultant

Location: Remote within Germany (occasional local client visits required)
Salary: Up to €130,000 (depending on experience)
Reporting to: Head of Benchmarking
Language Requirement: Fluent German (native level)

About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled IT Security Consultant to join a dynamic team that advises top-tier clients on strengthening their IT security architecture. This consulting-focused position (non-hands-on) is ideal for someone who thrives on strategic thinking, advising on cutting-edge technologies, and staying ahead of evolving security trends.

In this role, you will work on multiple short-term engagements (typically 1-3 months), providing guidance across areas like Zero Trust, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, and cloud security (Azure, AWS). You'll also help clients navigate compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIS2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and benchmark IT security architectures across client organizations
  • Advise on strategy and implementation for Zero Trust, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, and cloud security
  • Support compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001 and NIS2
  • Deliver expert recommendations to secure networks, cloud platforms, and endpoints
  • Manage 2-4 consulting projects simultaneously within a collaborative team environment
  • Stay informed on the latest security frameworks, tools, and regulations

Your Profile

  • Fluent/native German speaker - essential for client interaction
  • Strong experience in IT security consulting (not hands-on implementation)
  • Deep knowledge of network, endpoint, and cloud security solutions
  • Confident advising on compliance frameworks and best practices
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and strategic communication
  • Comfortable handling multiple short-term projects concurrently
