iO associates is currently partnered with FibreCoat, a special materials manufacturer that is looking for a Metallurigcal Team Lead Engineer to join their site in Aachen.

The client is at the forefront of coating technology innovation and provides their customers with specially produced materials that can be used in a diverse range of applications.

Requirements:

Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgy or Material Science with 5+ years of experience
Proven leadership skills, with experience in mentoring engineers from a technical and team leadership point of view
Ideally a great understanding of coating technologies (metal casting and coating onto fibres: e.g. glass, basalt, polymers etc.)
Fluency in English

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the metal coating team of materials and metallurgical engineers, guiding and mentoring junior engineers
Solve complex engineering problems, coordinating project activities and stakeholder needs.
Oversee project costs, schedule, quality, and risk management.
Commercial development of the aluminium coating function of the business
