Network Engineers required to join our client in Munich.

Our Client: is a large next gen aircraft company that empowers the business with flexible, scalable, and secure IT solutions. From Digital Workplace to Identity and Access Management, Connectivity, Cloud platform engineering, and robust data center services, we're at the forefront of innovation.

Temporary Contract - 6 Months initially + Extensions

Rate - €35-45 per hour

Your Role: As a network engineer, you'll play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our hybrid, multi-cloud network infrastructure. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Operate and Maintain: You'll ensure our network infrastructure runs smoothly across both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Project Delivery: Lead projects to enhance our network infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and supports our transition to cloud services.
  • Cloud Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Azure (or AWS) and design, configure, provision, and deploy network solutions.
  • Vendor Knowledge: Dive deep into networking technologies from vendors like Palo Alto, Aruba, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewalls, SDWAN, Load Balancers, and Routing & Switching.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop network services using automation to streamline cloud network components.
  • Feasibility Studies: Evaluate feasibility, conduct market research, and assess vendor options.
  • Cybersecurity Collaboration: Work closely with our cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure and applications meet security compliance standards.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Keep our company network and cloud network available through vigilant monitoring and alerting.
  • Documentation: Create essential operational documentation for our network infrastructure.

Your Profile: We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Experience: You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration.
  • OS Familiarity: Knowledge of network operating systems like Aruba OS-CX and/or Cisco IOS.
  • Palo Alto Expertise: Strong work experience with Palo Alto Suite and Aviatrix.
  • Routing Protocols: Familiarity with TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, IPSec, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and other network services.
  • SDWAN and OT: Experience with Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployment and OT architectures.
  • Tools: Exposure to Jira and Confluence is beneficial.
  • Cloud Savvy: Proven experience with public cloud providers (e.g., Azure and AWS).
  • Automation Skills: Comfortable with scripting and programming for automation.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP, and NAT.
  • ITIL Framework: Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM.
  • Customer-Centric: You're service-oriented and customer-focused.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
