Office Manager - Start-up

Role Overview: iO is currently partnered with a dynamic start-up in Bochum specialised in machinery manufacturing that is seeking an organised and proactive Office Manager to ensure the smooth operation of their Bochum office. This role is vital in supporting their growing team and maintaining a productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
  • Previous experience in office management or similar roles
  • Strong organisational abilities and excellent communication skills in both languages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
  • A proactive individual who can work independently and improve office processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office Administration: Manage daily operations, schedules, and correspondence to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Supplies & Facilities Management: Oversee the ordering and maintenance of office supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is functional and available.
  • Vendor Coordination: Handle relationships with external vendors and service providers, managing contracts and deliveries.
  • Reception & Support: Greet visitors, manage calls, and support the team with event planning and logistical tasks.
  • Purchasing Oversight: Manage and optimise the procurement of office supplies and services, in addition to some engineering materials ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely availability of all necessary materials.
