iO Associates are seeking a highly skilled Pressure Compliance Lead to join a world-class nuclear power generation project. This pivotal role involves managing pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements on the Balance of Plant (BOP) scope, ensuring adherence to project needs and regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

As the Pressure Compliance Lead, you will act as the single point of contact for pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements across your designated scope. This includes working with internal teams, regulators, and the supply chain to ensure conformity with safety regulations and structural integrity standards.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of compliance processes, overseeing the delivery of technical files, coordinating third-party surveillance, and preparing declarations of conformity. You will also arbitrate technical decisions on behalf of the project, ensuring a balance between compliance requirements and project delivery constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements for your appointed scope.
  • Implement project policies and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Act as the project's technical decision-maker for pressure systems compliance, escalating issues as required.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver technical files in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee third-party surveillance activities and ensure timely resolution of open points.
  • Prepare and validate declarations of conformity for pressure systems.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, including regulators, supply chain companies, and internal project teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Knowledge:

    • Expertise in structural integrity and pressure regulation compliance, including managing technical documentation, third-party activities, and conformity declarations.
    • Familiarity with mechanical engineering design and operation of pressure equipment (RCC-M or ASME codes preferred).
    • Experience working within multidisciplinary and matrix environments.
    • Knowledge of the nuclear industry and regulatory frameworks (EDF group experience is advantageous).
  • Skills:

    • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to balance compliance and project requirements.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to credibly influence and advise internal teams and contractors.
    • Awareness of technical limitations and the ability to collaborate with others when required.
  • Qualifications:

    • Degree in Engineering or a related Science-based discipline.
    • Chartered Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., IMechE) is preferred or capability to achieve chartership.
  • Experience:

    • Significant experience in large-scale projects or asset management in regulated industries such as power generation, nuclear, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.
    • Expertise in pressure systems manufacture, installation, and structural integrity.
    • Experience in multicultural industrial projects.

Why Join?

This is your opportunity to contribute to one of the largest and most ambitious power generation projects in the world. You'll be part of a highly skilled team, working on cutting-edge technologies and ensuring compliance with critical safety and regulatory standards.
