Job title: Principal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bristol (37 hours, hybrid working)

Salary: £60k - £80k
Shift Pattern: 3 days site / 2 days remote
Clearance: Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance is must
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer at our leading nuclear consultancy, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering complex engineering and technical projects. Leveraging your expertise and domain knowledge, you'll ensure successful outcomes for critical initiatives.
In this role, you'll also focus on fostering strong relationships with clients, both established and new, supporting effective customer management and driving long-term partnerships.
Required:
- Someone who takes responsibility, delivers, encourages excellence, and has the guts to question the status quo.
- Familiarity with General Engineering Drawing Practice and CAD tools.
- The capacity to establish solid and impactful connections with important stakeholders.
- expertise in team leadership.
- Possesses or is capable of obtaining chartered status.
Responsibilities:
- Help with efficient customer management, which includes liaising with and building relationships with both new and existing clients in order to support business growth, resolving technical and delivery concerns, and making sure the client is well briefed and updated on developments.
- Make ensuring that engineering and technical operations adhere to the proper codes, standards, and procedures.
- Make sure risks associated with tasks and projects are properly managed and communicated.
- As directed, create, evaluate, and approve technical reports, drawings, models, analyses, calculations, and design basis documentation.
**Eligible to obtain SC Clearance**
