SC Cleared Platform Architect

I'm working with an SME with a growing presence in the Defence & National Security sectors, who are looking for an SC Cleared Platform Architect for an exciting long-term project.

You will be advising and assuring the Platform design is conformant with vendor best practice, security enforcement, and Defence architectural patterns and guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the point of contact for platform architecture and threat mitigation
• Support design vision creation, design decisions and design review
• Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure end-to-end designs are delivered across the wider Defence landscape
• Support the review of HLDs and LLDs for coherence and quality
• Align standards, frameworks and security with business and technology strategies and policies
• Support design of platform architecture elements

You MUST have experience with:

• Architecture and development of secure Hardware & Software solutions
• Platform engineering - ideally a strong Platform Engineering background
• Writing technical requirements and producing detailed solution architectures
• Designing and omplementing secure platform solutions
• Working within the UK Defence sector
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012
• Microsoft Exchange
• Voice & Video Conferencign (Skype for Business, SIP with TLD federation)

You MAY have experience with:

• Identity Access Management (IAM)
• UK Defence deployed network architectures
• Database Services (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Relication & Backup technologies
• Storage technologies

The role is being offered for a 6-month initial period with long-term extensions likely.

This will be on a hybrid basis in Corsham, requiring you on-site 1-2 days per month, and will be paying up to £650 / day Inside IR35
