Are you a skilled Process Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a world-leading engineering technology business? My client is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team in Winchester. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enabling energy producers to transition to efficient, reliable, and cost-effective low carbon generation.

My client is at the forefront of engineering technology, supporting existing assets by reducing emissions and carbon footprints, and enhancing the biomass and Energy from Waste sector to improve reliability and performance. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering team to gain an in-depth understanding of each project's technical and process background.
- Contribute to process analysis and technical design, analyzing data from customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals.
- Write proposals for mechanical and chemical systems aimed at power plant combustion improvement and emission reduction.
- Analyze plant operating data to identify trends, faults, and issues, including fuel quality and its impacts.
- Develop and validate detailed calculations and designs, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions, and P&IDs for review and approval.
- Design and/or direct the design of products or systems such as burners, controls, burner management, SNCR, SCR, water injection, and heat transfer systems.
- Optimize equipment performance in the field.
- Adhere to high safety standards and follow Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures.
- Perform safety-related calculations and contribute to HAZOPs, SIL, and other safety reviews.
- Participate in technical meetings and discussions with client engineers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements
**Required:**
- Engineering degree (Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field).
- Relevant experience in combustion, emissions technology, controls, process safety, and other related processes.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to interface at all relevant levels within the company.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards it.
**Advantageous:**
- Additional language skills.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Ambitious and responsible with a drive for self-development.
- Knowledge of Python/Power BI.
The salary is up to £75,000 DOE and benefits include:
