Senior Systems Network Engineer

Location: Vienna, Austria (Hybrid, 2/3 days in office)
Salary: €70,000 + excellent benefits

Are you an experienced Systems Network Engineer looking for a dynamic role in a global IT team? This senior position offers the chance to work in a diverse and innovative environment, with a mix of on-site and remote work from the Vienna office.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global corporate network, including hardware and software installation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive the modernization of network infrastructure, transitioning to cloud-based solutions like SASE and SD-WAN.
  • Implement, administer, document, and operate network/server solutions.
  • Support internal production and development infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot IT issues for employees and support remote locations as needed.
  • Embrace a varied role where each day presents new challenges.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.



Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in networking, including Cisco ecosystems (Firewalls, VPNs, Switches, VLANs, Layer 2/3, BGP).
  • Experience with SASE and secure edge networking (Cisco/Zscaler/Cato).
  • Cloud networking expertise (AWS/Azure, VPCs).
  • Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work under pressure.



Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira).
  • Experience with NetApp storage solutions, VMware/vCenter, and server hardware (HPE/Dell).
  • Basic knowledge of Jenkins and Nexus.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solution Architect certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and applications.



Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field is advantageous but not essential.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a corporate IT environment.
