iO Associates are looking for a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement to work within manufacturing operational environment. The Sourcing Specialist will support the achievement of project and business objectives through close engagement with the project Teams and Sourcing structure and logistic team.

Travelling local & Overseas: Frequency depending upon the business requirement

Responsibilities:

As a Buyer Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Be accountable for materials and services sourcing and procurement within the assigned indirect commodities driving deflation, variable cost productivity, cash flow targets.
  • Lead procurement operations, from request for quotation to order issuing, ensuring process execution is performed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and lead overall supplier strategy, in coordination with commodity strategy, including simplification, ensuring sourcing process integrity, and optimization of productivity, quality and fulfilment.
  • Influence cross functional team involved in the purchase, being the focal point for a shared process in supplier selection, capable to drive decision making through influencing skills.
  • Identify and assess supplier capabilities; measure and manage supplier performance
  • Negotiate lowest possible cost while maintaining the highest quality of goods and services

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Have proven experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain background.
