IT Infrastructure Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line)

* Hybrid based in Surrey
* Up to £36,000 base salary
* Must be eligible for Security Clearance

As an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer for a bespoke system provider, your main responsibility will be to provide technical support and help manage IT equipment and systems for customers and internal teams. You'll be part of a global service management team, delivering a reliable 24/7 support service and ensuring systems are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day support for IT equipment such as servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
* Monitor the health of IT systems and ensure they are running efficiently.
* Help fix technical problems with hardware, software, and network systems.
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks like software updates, system checks, and backups.
* Keep track of hardware and software inventory and make sure everything is up to date.
* Be part of the 24/7 on-call rota, providing support outside of regular hours as needed (not regular)

You must have:

* 2 years + experience in an MSP supporting and managing IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and networking.
* Experience with Windows Server and VMware.
* Ability to troubleshoot and patch technical issues.
* The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people.

Desirable Skills:

* Familiarity with IT security (antivirus and software patching).
* Experience with backup and recovery.
