Title: Lab Technician
Location: Sheffield
Permanent Job
UK travel and overseas travel may be required to cover attendance at training courses, and occasional customer or supplier visits.

Responsibilities

  • Lab Preparation: Set up and prepare laboratory facilities and equipment.
  • System Operation: Operate HMI systems for hydrogen generators.
  • Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.
  • Support: Assist engineers and scientists with experiments and tests.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent; technical college graduate or apprentice trained preferred.
  • 3 years' lab technician experience in an engineering or laboratory setting.
  • Strong work ethic and high-quality standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of 5S and computer literacy.
  • Experience with PLC control systems and hazardous materials (desirable)
