iO Associates are looking for a Problem Manager to join a Central Government department on a eight month contract basis, with a large change of extension.

Start: ASAP

Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site in London, Manchester or Bristol)

Rate: £500 Inside IR35

Duration: 8 months

Experience:

  • Proficient in IT operations, including service desk and support functions.
  • In-depth understanding of the domain name system (DNS) and its functionality.
  • Skilled in collaborating with senior technical and business stakeholders within the UK Public Sector to help them identify and mitigate associated risks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the internet's public core, encompassing aspects such as naming and numbering systems, cryptographic methods, packet routing, and standard protocols.

Skills Required:

  • Problem Management: Capable of initiating and monitoring actions to investigate and resolve problems by identifying patterns and trends. Able to consult with specialists as needed, determine appropriate solutions, and assist with implementation and preventive measures.
  • Skilled in analysing existing processes to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Able to recommend solutions and work with stakeholders to define objectives and potential benefits.
  • Experienced in building long-term strategic relationships and facilitating the delivery of business outcomes.
  • Incident Management: Experienced in leading the investigation and resolution of incidents.
  • Capable of defining research that meets user requirements and using both quantitative and qualitative data to drive user-focused outcomes.
  • Continual Service Improvement: Skilled in analysing current processes and identifying opportunities for optimisation. Able to lead and develop a team to implement service improvements and establish requirements for changes by setting policy and standards.
