IT Governance Specialist (Temporary Contract - 6 Months with Likely Extensions) - Munich Location
Our client, a leading company based in Munich, is seeking a passionate IT Governance Specialist to join their team! In this temporary contract role (with likely extensions), you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring their IT practices are aligned with strategic goals, regulations, and industry best practices.
Location: Munich - Onsite 3 days per week
Rate is €45p/h - with Full benefits packages, 30 days holiday, Healthcare, Free Canteen
Duration: 6 Months + Extension

Your Impact:
- Implement robust IT governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Foster a culture of compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across IT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive IT initiatives forward.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Partner with senior management to define clear and measurable IT objectives.
- Develop a compelling IT vision and mission statement to guide decision-making.
- Craft and maintain a comprehensive IT governance framework encompassing principles, policies, roles, and processes.
- Ensure seamless integration with broader corporate governance structures.
- Leverage industry standards like ITIL and COBIT to inform framework development.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements to mitigate them.
- Monitor adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with business units, IT teams, and executive leadership.
- Champion IT governance principles and expectations across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and refine IT governance processes for optimal effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory changes in the IT landscape.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within IT governance.
Who You Are:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Possess a strong understanding of IT governance frameworks like COBIT and ISO/IEC 38500.
- Prior experience in policy development, risk management, and IT compliance is a must.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Certifications like CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are a significant advantage.
