A world class leader in electronic manufacturing development is currently seeking a Principal Design Engineer to drive new solutions for their advanced range of products.

Your tasks:
- Design and development of electromechanical components
- Unique methods for the design of new, innovative functions and participation in research
- Analysis of customer requirements and systematic implementation in design
- Selecting suitable materials in line with customer specifications
- Planning the scope of verification and evaluating the results for concept and design validation
- Assisting with design FMEAs and participating in process FMEAs
- Prototype testing analyses

You profile:
- Deep understanding of connector physics
- Experience in leading/supervising a team of engineers
- Electrical and mechanical understanding of connectors
- Design of connectors and terminals
- Material knowledge & surface knowledge
- Proven track record of bringing in connector projects
