Applications Engineer - Space Products

Location: Aachen, Germany
Salary range: 60.000€ to 65.000€ per year.

We are seeking an Applications Engineer to focus on the development of special materials applications in the Space sector. You will sit in the business development team with responsibilities in R&D, focusing on developing and optimising advanced materials for space applications according to customer requirements and market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Interacting with customers & potential customers to define their requirements.
Close collaboration with R&D to develop new products and modify existing products according to customer & market demands in the Space sector.
Market research in the Space sector to identify market trends.
Plan and execute feasibility studies, material testing, and performance evaluations.

Travel Requirements: maximum of 20% each year.

Requirements

Technical background in materials science.
Experience in Space sector is desired but not essential.
Project management and interdisciplinary team leadership.
Presentation skills and stakeholder management.
Analytical and solutions focused mentality, with effective communication and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
