About the Role:
iO Associates are seeking skilled Test Automation Engineers to join a small SME working within the Defence & National Security space. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression in Software Test and Assurance. The role contributes towards multiple projects - utilising technology research tool evaluation and developing scripts.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing automation scripts in line with established guidelines. You will be tasked with investigating software issues through thorough testing and working closely with Test Analysts and Developers to craft effective solutions. All the while, staying up to date with the latest industry developments is essential to ensuring our testing processes remain at the forefront.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar discipline; alternatively, an ISTQB certification.
  • Proven experience in a Test Automation Engineer role.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, including Python, PowerShell, C#, and Java.
  • Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, with a strong focus on problem-solving.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK for meetings, events, and training as needed.
  • Flexible working options are available, though we prioritise team collaboration in Cheltenham.
