A leading scientific instrumentation manufacturer is seeking an Instrument Assembler to join their production team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the assembly and testing of high-quality vacuum instruments used in electron microscopy and other scientific applications.

Role Overview:

As an Instrument Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling precision-engineered components, performing quality checks, and contributing to the production of advanced scientific equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and test high-precision vacuum instruments from kits of parts.
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
Perform repairs and maintenance on products as required.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
Construct and install small-bore piping, wiring looms, and precision-engineered parts.
Use hand and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Strong electro-mechanical assembly background in a relevant industry.
Ability to read circuit diagrams and build wiring looms.
Familiarity with using test measurement instruments such as micrometers and Vernier gauges.

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of vacuum-based scientific instrumentation.
Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., Kaizen, Kanban, 5S).
