Mechanical Integration Engineer

The primary responsibility will be the mechanical integration of scientific instruments and satellites at the project level. This includes assembling mechanical and electromechanical components, cabling, and subsystems using standard procedures and processes to create functional hardware. You will collaborate with design and systems engineers and conduct basic functional testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate and validate flight hardware through mechanical and electrical assembly.
Utilize test equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) while following detailed drawings, procedures, and quality standards.
Identify and report deviations to engineering and quality departments.
Plan and execute the integration of assemblies and subassemblies.
Perform basic functional testing of integrated assemblies with system engineering.
Conduct fit checks for assemblies and collaborate with maintenance to ensure timely equipment upkeep and repair.

Profile:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanics or electromechanics.
Strong technical hands-on skills, particularly in building functional hardware.
Detail-oriented, driven, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
Proactive, team player with problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and communicate in English.
Soldering experience is a plus.
