Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Lancashire

Overview:

Join a cutting-edge international program as a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and architecting a state-of-the-art DevSecOps infrastructure, enabling large-scale collaborative software development across global teams.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leadership: Lead a team in developing DevSecOps tools and applications as part of an integrated capability.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Software Enterprise to integrate and deploy domain-specific tools (e.g., Simulink, Rhapsody) within a containerized DevSecOps infrastructure.
  • Optimization: Trial DevSecOps processes with project teams to optimize tools and methodologies.
  • Best Practices: Liaise with implementation teams across multiple locations to identify and utilize best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure the DevSecOps infrastructure supports DO-178C and DO-330 compliance through formal testing and qualification.
  • Delivery: Provide DevSecOps capabilities to end-users within the program.
  • Strategy: Develop strategies for adopting and using new processes, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Agile Management: Conduct work in accordance with agile management approaches, including roadmaps, plans, incremental development, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Coordination: Coordinate and report on work across the team and stakeholders.


Your Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with DevSecOps infrastructure and tool architecture, integration, configuration, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of software development processes, methodologies, and tools such as SDLC, agile development, and DevOps practices.
  • Proven experience in leading a team of engineers for software development and delivery.

Desirable:

  • Experience with formal software development processes like DO-178C.
  • Experience in developing real-time or embedded applications.
