Head of Project Management

Salary: €120k to €140k per year
Location: Cologne area
Permanent role

iO Associates is partnered with a premier provider of innovative medical technology solutions for the pharmaceutical sector who is seeking a German-speaking Head of Project Management to join them at an exciting time in their project phase.

Their teams are key to the development and implementation of their solutions and the client takes pride in their team of experts, who possess extensive industry experience and collaborate closely with their clients to meet their unique needs.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in German and English (C1 level or above)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or professional background in engineering/industrial engineering or a related technical field
  • Several years of experience in a project management role, ideally within a matrix structure
  • Previous experience in one of the following industries; pharmaceutical, biotech/medtech, or semiconductor manufcaturing

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the project management team, including guiding individual project managers (PMs)
  • Overseeing all projects from order receipt to final acceptance
  • Implementing PM processes in line with management and the client's guidelines
  • Assigning project managers to projects and monitoring/coaching them
  • Taking overall responsibility for project budgets, schedules, costs, quality, and resources within the defined scope
  • Defining project milestones and creating general project plans in SAP and other applications
  • Coordinating project change management, including adjustments to scope, pricing, deadlines, claims, and remedial actions
  • Supporting process changes that enhance project outcomes (quality, efficiency)
  • Contributing to the overall business unit strategy process
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and HSE standards
