  • Selecting and evaluating textile materials and components suitable for soft ballistic applications.
  • Developing and implementing sewing techniques and construction methods for protective garments.
  • Creating prototypes and samples, overseeing the sewing and assembly process to ensure design intent is met.
  • Collaborating closely with materials scientists, engineers, and production teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Developing technical specifications, including material lists, construction details, and measurement charts.
  • Conducting fit trials and making necessary design adjustments to optimize comfort and functionality.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in garment design, textile technology, and sewing techniques.
  • Contributing to the improvement of existing garment designs and production processes.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or vocational qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Garment Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in garment design and development, with a strong understanding of sewing techniques and garment construction.
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD software for pattern making and technical drawing (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, AutoCAD).
  • Experience working with a variety of textile materials and an understanding of their properties and applications.
  • Strong technical drawing and pattern-making skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; German language skills would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience working with technical textiles or protective wear would be beneficial.

This is a unique opportunity to join a company at the forefront of protection technology and play a key role in the design and development of innovative soft ballistic garments. If you are a passionate and skilled garment developer with strong 2D CAD capabilities, we encourage you to apply.
